Tempered glass is glass that has undergone heat treatment, characterized by the formation of a compressive stress layer on the surface of the glass, which improves mechanical strength and heat resistance impact strength, and has a special fragmented state. The main production process of tempered glass is to heat the regular glass of a certain size to around the glass softening point of 650 ºC to 700 ºC, and then simultaneously blow high-pressure air on both sides of the glass to rapidly cool it. Ultimately, compressive stress layers of approximately 1/6 glass thickness will be formed on both sides of the glass.
