Single-roll method is to pour molten glass onto a calendering forming table, the table top can be made of cast iron or cast steel, the table top or rollers are engraved with patterns, the rollers are rolled on the glass surface, and the made embossed glass is sent to an annealing kiln.
The production of embossed glass by double-roll method is divided into two processes: semi-continuous calendering and continuous calendering. The glass liquid passes through a pair of water-cooled rollers and is drawn forward to the annealing kiln along with the rotation of the rollers. Generally, the surface of the lower roller has concave-convex patterns, and the upper roller is a polishing roller, thus making embossed glass with patterns on one side.
